What is AppJet?
AppJet is a hosted framework for building fast web apps quickly. With AppJet, you write your entire app using JavaScript, including the server logic and database. This simplifies the process of building web apps because it lets you do everything in just one language. Not only is it easier, but it is just as powerful as any other way to program the web. AppJet is a flexible platform that lets you build any kind of app.

Web App Programming with AppJet
In this class, we will teach you how to build interactive web applications and give you a place to host them for free on your-choice-of-name.appjet.com.
Facebook App Programming with AppJet
In this class, we will apply AppJet web programming techniques to build some facebook apps. After this class, you will have everything you need to know to build your own Facebook App, including free hosting for it.

Laboratory in Web App Programming
Most of the day on Saturday & Sunday, we will be running a "Lab" where we will be available to help you program web apps and facebook apps. Come to as many lab sessions as you'd like!
We will also provide a series of web programming challenge problems, and be available to give you hints and ideas along the way. During the last 10 minutes of each hour, we will present and discuss successful solutions by students. Participation in the challenge problems is purely optional. If you want to just drop by and have us help you hack on some code, we're happy to do that too.
If you have a laptop, please bring it to lab. (We will try to provide some computers if we can).
Student Requirements
For any of these classes, you should have some basic programming experience, and be fairly comfortable with simple HTML. Before taking the Facebook App class, you should first take one of the "Web App Programming with AppJet" classes. You will also need a Facebook account in order to build any Facebook apps.
